Background of the Study
Cloud storage solutions have become essential for managing the increasing volume of digital content used in e-learning platforms, especially in secondary schools. In Lafia Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, secondary schools are adopting cloud-based platforms to deliver educational content, facilitate collaboration, and store student data. These platforms provide students and teachers with access to learning materials, assignments, and resources from any device with internet connectivity, ensuring flexibility in the learning process (Garba & Bello, 2025).
Despite the advantages, the effectiveness of cloud storage solutions in secondary schools in Lafia has been limited by issues such as inadequate infrastructure, poor internet connectivity, and challenges related to the optimization of cloud storage systems for the local educational environment. Optimizing cloud storage solutions is crucial for ensuring efficient data management and accessibility in e-learning systems.
Statement of the Problem
While cloud storage offers numerous benefits for e-learning platforms, secondary schools in Lafia Local Government Area face several challenges in fully optimizing these systems. Problems such as limited storage capacity, slow internet speeds, and the lack of training for staff on how to manage cloud systems have hindered the effectiveness of cloud storage solutions in these schools. This study seeks to explore the optimization of cloud storage solutions for e-learning platforms in Lafia’s secondary schools.
